Cartoon facial expression experiment 1

carton face expressions how do you feel today?
inspired by a ‘how do you feel today’ poster I saw on a wall.
I wanted to see how many expression I could come out of my head with the same cartoon face. I created 20 expressions. Here is my ‘top ten’ it was very fun exercise. ‘acting out’ the expressions proved very useful. I didn’t use any refernces but rely on how it felt on my face when i made each expression. I tried not to ‘overdo’ them

  1. I viewed some of your stuff and would like to showcase your art on one of my Wednesday guest posts for artists, cartoonists and poets. Check out my Wednesdays and let me know if interested.

  2. Delighted you will participate. Need 3 of your pics your choice, gravatar with you wp address attached and 4-6 sentence bio and welcome to promote yourself because that is what my guest posts are about. I think I can download email but would prefer each sent as jpeg. I will assemble and file and let you know when I post. Would like more every dozen or so weeks. Regards.

I’m a graphic designer hiding in Arizona. I done work for various companies creating newsletters, logos, and other media. About 6 months ago I decided that I wanted to improve my illustration and painting skills and I decided to start a blog to record my progress, meet other artists, and get feedback on my work.

  3. My son is an artist who is working on a web comic. I have seen him to this type of drawing to capture one character’s range of expression. Very cool! Best wishes for success in your creative endeavors.
