Wow it’s been so long

Tree sketch out of head hdIts been almost 18 months since I’ve posted anything on my blog. Where have I’ve been? Well I’ve been working as a graphic designer at a local printshop in my area. I’ve been making logos, signs and business cards. It’s a great place to work and I love working there, however I don’t get to use much of my illustrations skills in the position. I started getting headaches and migraines from looking at a computers screen so I been doing most of my art analog. I started to paint in acrylics. I’ve won 1st place in a student exhibition, which was surprising to me. I’ve also joined the local artist guild and had my paintings on display a couple times.

However I do miss posting my art on various websites and getting feedback. I actually lost one of my art accounts because I couldn’t log on to a email that was connected to it. It was a site I was using to get most of my commissions before I started working at the print shop. It taunt me a valuable lesson about always setting up your accounts correctly. But it’s not a big deal, I haven’t done any commissions since I got the job. I still have Maugryph, Alex and Cruz, and Chipizard. Those are the most important to me.

I feel that I need to start sharing my art again and not be stuck in some sort of vacuum. Starting August 12, I will be uploading artwork and will set up one to upload a day. Feel free to provide both praise and feedback. I will also be checking the blogs and friends I used to haunt on, I hope some of them are still active and around. I will be checking this regularly to feel free to drop me a line.

The best digital sketches I did last week on my Computer Tablet

digital doodles 6-22

Instead of loading up 20 sketches to the blog, I thought it would be more economical (and less annoying to my readers) to pick the best of the bunch and arrange them on to one page. Most are sketches of people I see around my local mall. It’s challenging because most of the time there is only a few seconds to put everything down before the person moves.
