The first landscape painting I did earlier this year. only used pixel brushes but painted it in a high resolution. This is when I started to experiment with different pallets

Env 22
It’s been a while, I know.
Hexel Field (Env 21)
More landscape painting experiments.
Everest (Env 19)
I’ve been experimenting with a unique grid paint program called Hexels 2.5 in which you paint with blocks, octagons, and other shapes. It is great for pixel and isometric art. It’s also great for blocking in because it forces you to paint on a grid and this is effective in preventing you from adding details. After I got it blocked in, I imported the painting into Photoshop and painted the details in.

Odd rock formation (Env 12)
An odd rock formation I painted on my iPad using Procreate. I love the charcoal brushes
Lighthouse (Env 11)
Painted this on my iPad using Procreate. I’m not too happy with this one.
Snowy mountains (Env 10)
I am very happy how this painting turned out. I’ve never painted cracked ice before. I can see the value of painting environments everyday.

Rocks (Env 9)
First env study painting where rocks are the main focus. I want to give my paintings a more traditional look so I stated painting with brushes that give a ‘dry brush’ effect. References use for painting are from Wikimedia Commons.
Desert (Env 8)
One of my daily environment studies. It was fun to paint the rocks and sand. Added a figure for scale. As always I used Wikimedia Commons for reference as I painted this
Creepy monster in forest(Env4.5)
Apparently I forgot to upload this creepy environment painting. I did this one out of my imagination. It needs some refining.
