Here is my progress on the main character model for my shooter game. There are some minor UV glitches on the wings but I should have them fixed soon.

For a couple weeks I did a Pokemon icon a day as a warm up and then used the icon on certain social networking sites, it surprising caused confusion with some people. I then realized that it would have been better to draw the entire Pokemon and not just the head… and i got bored with drawing ‘just’ the head

If you curious which pokemon is which, starting left to right: Arceus, Charmander, Dialga, Lugia, Pikachu, Electroid, Treeko, Dragonite, Torchic, Palkia, Yeventail, manectric, Keldeo, and finally Kyurem.

My favorate icons of the bunch is Dragonite, and Kyurem

Leviathan Game – Completed Buildings and First Island WIP

Although I haven’t been able to post for the past few days, I have been very busy on the Leviathan game. The two main buildings have been completed. I have the main layout completed for the island. Now what’s left is some polish. There still is some scripting and animation to do. I composed the game music which is more atmospheric then melodic.  I need to get it done by the 6th so I can submit it and promote it a little. It’s been a busy two weeks. I’m praying I can complete this by the deadline.

It’s finished. The low poly model is ready. The most worrisome part of the project is finished. The textures are completed and the character is completely rigged. He is ready to be popped into the game.

You might noticed from previous iterations that I changed his colors from a purple to a dark red. Added marks like patterns on his skin to give him have a more tribal look. It also makes him look a little more intimidating. ( I have some other color variations that can be swapped in and out)

You don’t know how many times I wanted to sculpt the mesh and make ramp and normal maps but I came to the realization that conflict with the style and the other props in the game.

Leviathan (Working Title) (PC game)

I came up with a working title for my little island exploration game: Leviathan. I’ve also changed the look of the game into a more retro fell. I need to make my game stand out. Spent half the day working on textures and modifying the prefabs. All textures are now made by me and it feels good.

I’ve spent a lot of time on these two Islands, I have decided turn this project into a small indie game. There is an indie game contest that I would like to submit to and I have only three weeks to complete it. So I would like to add at least one more island and then the puzzles are going to be scripted. The scripting is advanced enough that the engine can do what I need it to.

Daily Paint 42 – Two Monsters

Two monsters I drew on my New 3DS XL . Being such a sketch addict, if I can install a drawing app on anything; I will do it. I found this awesome app called Colors 3d on the e-shop. Its incredible. Its easier to draw on this handheld then on my my android tablet. It was unexpected this this device made to play Pokemon, Zelda, and Mario can be used as an art tool. This image is supposed to be in 3d if you look at it on a 3ds. Let me know if it works if you happen to be on one.
