Everest (Env 19)
I’ve been experimenting with a unique grid paint program called Hexels 2.5 in which you paint with blocks, octagons, and other shapes. It is great for pixel and isometric art. It’s also great for blocking in because it forces you to paint on a grid and this is effective in preventing you from adding details. After I got it blocked in, I imported the painting into Photoshop and painted the details in.

Alex the Goat Concept Art
Here is some of the concept art I made for Alex the Goat character that was used in the dancing animated short I did a month ago. I’ve put at least 50 hours of work into this character and will use him in other animated shorts. While I did the animation to hopefully get an interview at CTN Expo (a big animation con) , I still would like to figure out how to share it with others.
Hungry Dragon (D27)
This dragon looks hungry… Run Sir. Knight! Run!
I was only going to spend an hour painting today’s daily… I spent 3hours on it. I got stuck rendering the mouth (Mostly the top apparently), I have not rendered dragon’s mouth too much, it was a new challenge. What do you think of this dragon? Does it look too generic or do you think it’s design is decent?
Desert Statue Concept: Project Night (D26)
Sarah the Scorceress (D25)
I think I came out decent for a daily painting
I referenced a stock photo by Jaggeded Eye on FA for this sketch
Lava Monster (D21)
Toothy Dragon (D11)
I was too comfortable with my line sketches so I started to do color painterly sketches again. I like how this one came out.
Shiloh (Commission)
A commission I worked on for Cuddlebug . The character’s name is Shiloh, cool furry dragon wizard. I am very pleased this painting, It feels like all my training and practice as an artist is coming together to a more refined level.
