A Literal Dragon Warrior. I made this character in Blender. Back in the day when I had hopes and dreams of becoming a 3d modeler for a game developer. Those dreams have be all but been crushed at the moment.
I needed to try a different outlet for my creativity tonight, so I sculpted this humanoid dragon dude rather quickly. I used Sculptris. I sculpted him in about 2 hours. I find it surprising that painting all the time has also improved my sculpting as well. The last time I made model in Sculptris a year ago, it was terrible. This is a step in the right direction. I going to make some more 3d monster sketches in the future. Software used: Sculptris. Time spent 2 hours. No UVs or textures.
“A draconian warrior from a faraway land unexpectedly gets stuck with the helpless prince of Natar. Outnumbered by many foes, the nervous dragon desperately tries to think out a escape plan.”
Another rendering (painting) test. the first story illustration as well. I took a loose sketch and painted over it. I finish the painting to completion, about 4 hours. Hindsight I think it would of been better to have done refined the lines first and ‘inked’ them out, instead of painting directly on the sketch. I might of saved a hours time. Again I blended as I painted, I even changed the hotkey to make it easier to switch between the brush and the blender, It worked awesomely. If I decide to color this, I will render the ground and make be all dry and crackly. Feedback is welcome. Let me know what you think
